Hi, my name is Sasha Lizaveta. Me and Team Badass Body Project collectively run the BadassBodyProject.com website. I’m responsible for the content part of this website.
OK, a little about me. I’m a personal trainer from Russia. I love being outdoors and I’ve always been sporty. I’ve been training in the gym since 2011. Just like many other women, my motivation at that time was simply to look better.
In the early months of my training, I only did cardio. I hadn’t realized that gaining some muscle, rather than just trying to burn the fat away with cardio, was the simple solution to get the body I wanted. I started lifting after several months of training in the gym and I fell in love with it.
After that, I started seeing some muscular shape and definition in my body. I got more motivated by my progress and I played around with my diet and training to see how lean I could get. In September 2013, I entered my first bodybuilding competition, the “Andrei Samoylenko Memorial” championship. Here’s my picture (no. 54) with some of the contestants:
In the competition, I only got the 8th place from 19 competitors in the bikini fitness category. But I wasn’t upset. In fact, it made me work harder to achieve my goals. After graduating from college in 2014, I applied for a job at the gym where I trained, the Strongo gym. I attended their in-house training and I got a local certification as a personal trainer. Since then, I’ve been working as a personal trainer.
I also participated in various other competitions. During 2013-2016, I participated in 7 bodybuilding competitions. My latest competition was the Krasnoyarsk Open Bodybuilding and Body Fitness Championship on March, 2016. I might not win big in these competitions, but I learned a lot of lessons from them. Now, I’m working as a personal trainer at NRGym and I also do some modelling.
Ok, enough about me. This website isn’t about me. It’s about you, your goals, and how we can help you to get there in the smartest way possible. I started this website with some friends to share our knowledge and experiences on fitness to help you achieve your goals.
Our approach to fitness is conservative, but we believe it’s the smartest, safest and healthiest approach to fitness. It’s the “do it slowly and progressively to get permanent results” approach. Our motto is: subtle changes, significant results!
There is no quick fix to fitness. Quick fixes do nothing but set people up for continuous cycles of repeated failures. Take for example, people who try to lose weight fast using extreme diets. They may lose weight for a little while, but once they stop their diet, they regain their weight back. They then start the cycle again only to end up in a more miserable situation: they regain their weight back and their metabolism is wrecked.
The only way to get lean and stay lean is to choose new behaviors, develop new habits, and maintain them for life. So, if you’re willing to ditch the quick-fix mindset and work persistently towards your fitness goals, you’ve come to the right place. We hope you’ll find our website useful, and if there is anything that we can help you with, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
